Squash Coaching

Individual Coaching - Beginner to Elite
West Byfleet and Epsom

Neil began playing Squash at the age of 8 years old.  Following a successful junior squash career, he started coaching at the age of 20 and has been running a successful coaching business since then.  Neil is also the Surrey Junior Squash Coach and resident coach at several schools in and around Surrey. 

Neil continues to play Squash at a high level and in recent years was a finalist in The World Masters in South Africa, a finalist in The British Nationals in Manchester and played in The Home Internationals for Scotland, at Number 1.

Having worked as a full-time professional coach since 1990, he has guided many junior players through to Regional and National Squad selection.  Several of which have won national titles and gone on to play for England at junior level.  He has also coached senior players who have achieved world rankings, some of which are now successful professional coaches in their own right.

The Frankland Squash Matters team run several squash events throughout the year for children and adults alike and caters for all abilities.

 

  

NEIL FRANKLAND - DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR FOR SQUASH IN SURREY
Since taking on the Directorship for the Development of Squash in Surrey, Neil Frankland has visited the majority of the Clubs across the County to discuss varying issues from court maintenance, to booking systems, to increasing female & junior members.  This exercise has been very interesting but fundamental for the future development of the sport in Surrey.  The wish is to encourage everyone to get involved in Surrey Squash’s vision which is for all Clubs to work together for the good of our sport.

Neil has run some very successful marking courses in the form of a quiz at several clubs as well as playing exhibitions of both squash and Racketball against Tim Vail, the National Racketball Champion.

Surrey have made changes to the Surrey Cup League in order to increase club level squash and to encourage more people to play.  Hence improving the social aspect of the game but ultimately, creating a greater spectacle, by bringing all the winning teams together at the finals.

Since his Directorship began in Surrey, two other counties have taken the initiative and are following suit.
